Toyah opened 15 minutes ago. When I called this morning (Nashville time) she was about to go onstage for a run-through.

We are looking at the new rock song which has incorporated another idea waiting for development - "ProjeKction". The instrumental side of the piece is growing and the vocal section has become the commentary on it. As I type this, and making coffee behind, Pat is building up a drum loop to fit and Adrian & Ken are examining the new Digitech Vocal Buddy. Perhaps this is to match the Stadium Buddy personal external catheter & bottle system to end painful waiting at public events? Or long journeys on the gig bus? Surprise a fellow traveller on long haul? Life begins again for Happy Gigsters over 50.

We've moved into the next stage of the piece. Bill is in the garage fine tuning sounds of all the instruments on the multi-tracks of "The ConstruKction Of Light". This is a form of pre-mixing.

18.47
Trey has found his approach for the Fairy Fingers sections in "Larks' V". This is not the approach we had expected (so much for expectation), but returns to his original idea from the ProjeKct Two rehearsals in late 1997. This was before Adrian sat at the V-Drums and we were a guitar trio. Those rehearsals were key to the present Crim recordings and the original sketches for "ConstruKtion Of Light"

This from the Diary earlier in the week:

"Would any interested party like to arrange a public gathering for 12.00 on Sunday 16th. January, 2000? If there is sufficient interest, I'll make myself available for Q&A. No photography. No autography. Just people." John A. Trevethan of Antarctica in Nashville has generously offered the Antarctica facilities and himself as host & convenor for this event.
